SOUTH COAST CLASSIC ITINERARY
The South Coast Classic starts in Reykjavík with your pick-up in the capital. First, we will pass through lava fields and see the typical agricultural landscapes of the South Coast, famous for the typical Icelandic horses. If the weather is clear, we can see the huge Hekla volcano and, in the distance, the incredible Eyjafjallajökull glacier. In addition, if we look at the coast, we will find the volcanic archipelago of the Westman Islands, formed by some 15 small islands of which only one is inhabited. Our first stop will take place in Reynisfjara, the famous black sand beach where incredible basalt columns stand out that will leave you amazed. From there we will head to Vík, the southernmost town of Iceland. Although it only has about 300 inhabitants, we can say that it is the nerve center of the area since you will not find any other inhabited place in a 70 kilometer radius. Once back in Reykjavík, we will stop before the powerful waterfall of Skógafoss, which measures 62 meters, and climb to the top of the cliff to enjoy not only its water curtain but one of the most beautiful views of the whole island, which includes glaciers, volcanoes and black sand beaches. Finally, we will stop at the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where we can walk right behind its impressive 60 meter water curtain.
