This shuttle to the Plane Wreck from Sólheimasandur departs at Sólheimasandur/Plane Wreck parking lot at the main "Ring Road" and takes you to the wreckage of the DC-3 plane in just 15 minutes. So you can enjoy a harsh but beautiful and fascinating landscape, explore the Plane Wreck and walk along the black sand beach before taking the transfer back. Frequent departures operate every day from 10:00 to 17:00. The departures of the transfer to the abandoned plane from Sólheimasandur are made every day between 10:00 and 17:00.
