Description of FlyOver Iceland in Reykjavík

Located in Reykjavík’s old harbor, just steps from the city center, FlyOver Iceland offers a breathtaking virtual flight over Iceland’s most stunning landscapes. Using cutting-edge technology, it simulates the feeling of flight and leaves you suspended, feet dangling, in front of a massive 20-meter spherical screen. Special effects work in tandem with motion to create a one-of-a-kind sensation.

Before the flight, you’ll also enjoy two pre-show experiences that explore the role of nature, time, and humanity on this extraordinary island. A unique Icelandic narrator welcomes you into a recreated Viking longhouse, where an enchanting shadow-play projection brings the story to life. In The Well of Time, you’ll embark on an immersive journey through Iceland’s history. With music, videos, images, and sound, the forces of nature and human spirit come alive. Your guide is Sú Vitra, a character inspired by local troll legends, symbolizing Iceland’s wisdom and charm. You'll feel the power of Iceland’s nature, witness humanity's arrival, and discover how Icelanders have adapted to life on the island.
